The Manhattan Producers Alliance and a host of Film/Music industry luminaries have come together for the purpose of re-invigorating the film music scene in New York. We have gathered an impressive group whose credits include: Michael Jackson, Eminem, Shakira, Peter Gabriel and the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra (our list of supporters and partners is here).
Tribeca Film Festival’s goal is to celebrate the energy and creativity of New York, our’s is specifically to spotlight the NY music scene, the most diverse and creative artistic environment in the world. From world class orchestral and broadway players to brilliant composers, arrangers and orchestrators, from Raga and Timba to jazz, hip hop and all flavors of indie, rock and pop musicians in between, NYC has a diverse musical ecosystem. We have excellent recording studios, top notch engineers, producers and film editors, quality post production facilities, and excellent dub stages. Combine all this with a newly improved tax incentive and NYC is re-inventing itself again as a creative and cost-effective place to record high quality, innovative music for film.
To launch our effort, we will be hosting a number of events taking place during Tribeca. We would like the opportunity to make our case directly to you and your associates, and to give you the chance to meet some of the greatest musical talent in the world.
For a start, please join us April 18th for cocktails, schmoozing and and performances by some of New York's unique musical talent (RSVP here). We have more Tribeca related events planned, details will follow.
You can also contact us at tribeca@manhatpro.com, or visit: http://www.manhatpro.com/tribeca for more information about us, our supporters and our events.
